The only ways to get to Isle Royale are by boat or seaplane and fortunately there are
several companies that provide these services. You will discover that all the
transportation companies have different schedules, fees, limits on cargo, length of
the trip, and the number of people allowed on the vessel. The method and company you
choose will depend on several factors, such as your personal feelings about flying or
boating, the time of year you will be leaving, your personal time constraints, and
which state you will be departing from. It is probably wise to make reservations on the
seaplane or boat of your choice, especially during the park's peak visiting season. Having
to wait an extra day or two, or possibly more, before they have room for you, would be a
terrible way to start your trip. All the services providing transportation to Isle Royale have
adrresses and telephone numbers which can be used for making reservations or for calling
with questions. To visit the web site of a particular company, simply click on their name
at the left-hand side of the table.
