VirtualDub is a video capture/processing utility. It has batch-processing
capabilities for processing large numbers of files and can be extended with
third-party video filters. VirtualDub is mainly geared toward processing AVI files,
although it can read (not write) MPEG-1 and also handle sets of BMP images.

The Konfabulator is a JavaScript runtime engine that lets you run small files
called Widgets. Widgets can do almost anything you want them to. They can be alarm
clocks, calculators, tell you your WiFi signal strength, fetch the latest stock
quotes and even give your current local weather.
A great tool for digital camera users. Simply select the pictures you need to rotate
and the program will losslessly rotate them +/- 90 degrees for you.
PhotoFiltre is a nice image editing program that allows you apply simple or advanced
effects to your photos. The web site claims there are over 100 filters available. I've used
it and it is a great program. Just another option for people who want to edit images and
photos but don't want to shell out serious money for Photoshop.
A nice information manager that makes it easy to search your computer for typed and
handwritten memos, webpage excerpts, emails, phone messages, addresses and passwords.
You can even link these items to each other to make it easier to find what you're
looking for. The current version only works on Windows 2000/XP/XP Tablet PC's.
Another skinable multimedia player that can rip and burn music CD's. It plays all major file
formats and supports various visualization effects. It can access the internet CD database
and has some other nice features such as cross fading and equalization. Plus, it has a
good-looking, clean interface.
This free software from Google will help you find, edit and share pictures stored on your PC.
Picasa will automatically locate your pictures, sort them into albums by date and then allow
you to customize your folders. One nice feature is the ability to create folders that share
several photos without having to actually have numerous copies of the same picture taking up
space on your computer.
Microsoft has documented (Exploit MS04-028: GDIPlus JPEG Vulnerability) a buffer overrun
vulnerability which could allow someone to gain control of your computer, simply by looking
at a specially created JPEG file. JPEGScan searches your JPEG files and repairs any
bad JPEG's it discovers.
Use this program to make backups of the drivers installed on your system. Select the
